I have to admit, the Winchester M1887 was my first purchase on this website. I was a bit skeptical.
My son assembled the shotgun in 3 days. And the quality of the final product is impressive. And it shoots bullets. Really clever mechanism.
My son loves it, and the shotgun is so solid, that he can play with it as a toy
So this was definitely one of my note intreseting builds I have ever made and one my of first gun builds. Total build time was about 6-7 hours.
So I did have a few slight gripes with the materials that were not properly colored to match certain portions of the gun like the barrel and grip but fortunately I had some parts that were part of my stock which wasn't to much of a problem. One of my more so major issues I had with the weapon was the rubber bands that were supplied. Both of the internal rubber bands that were used for the charging and firing of the gun at the top back portion of the gun broke within an hour of testing the range of the shots fired. I would recommend a better strengthened rubber band material to be used overall through the gun since after mine broke I found and bought rubber bands that are dedicated for Lego gun builders and bought a bulk pack. Since then I have only needed to replace my bands once since i made the replacement.
Other than that the gun is pretty great! I wouldn't say that the naming of the product is accurate but should be changed to a more properly accurate pump action shotgun closer representing a Mossburg 500 Short Shotgun. Just my 2-cents put in.
Other than that the gun shoots pretty far once you get some proper rubber bands and the ammo is in great quantity for 2-3 reloads at a time, I believe my set came with 9 shells.
